TEDxYouthCroydon is to be held at The Brit School on Saturday 15th November 2014.

This is the 2nd annual event to be held as 2013 was such a success due to the hard work of the team.  Many of those who volunteered did not have experience in the roles.  But through hard work and perseverance they excelled in their roles and took on leadership with vigour and vitality.

We are currently looking for those who have experience or would like to develop their leadership skill set in:

Partnership Manager – This team member is responsible for raising money from sponsors for event expenses, and managing the event’s finances. They should be someone who has experience with fundraising and development, since this is one of the most important components of the event planning process.

Communications Director Communications, editorial and marketing director – This team member will oversee the PR Team and Social Media. They will help to create and manage a strong online presence of your event for promoting the event to the public.

Website Manager – This person will create the look of the current website in relation to this year’s them and keep the content updated.

Graphic Designer – We are looking for someone with graphic design experience to work alongside the website manager to design the look of the website and programme booklet.

Speaking Curator (Position Filled) – Along with team of 5 speaking coaches, you will be responsible for selecting the speakers, inviting them to speak, prepare the speakers by working with them and the team to put together engaging speeches with several opportunities to practice.  You will also be responsible for overseeing the speaking team on the day.

Executive Producer – You will lead all production and planning for the day of the event. Which includes overseeing all of the roles happening on the day of your event related to content production, stage management, technology, and video.

Professional Photographer – To take photographs on the day and edit them post event.

Registration Manager (Position Filled) – To engage, keep track of attendees registration pre and post event.

We will be meeting at Matthews Yard, Croydon:

– once in August

– fortnightly in September and October

– weekly in November (2 weeks)


Volunteers – We are also seeking volunteers who will be available to help out at the event on November 15th.  They will act as hosts, registration, activity monitors and various other roles throughout the day.  Volunteers will only need to be briefed prior to the event.
